AUDIO VISUAL AIDS

Our College of Nursing possess a well maintained latest Audio Visual equipments like Liquid Cristal Display (LCD), Projectors, Slide Projectors, Overhead Projectors, VCD Player, VCR and Colour Television, DVD Player, Puppets, Chart, Posters and Models.

MULTI SPECIALITY HOSPITAL - CLINICAL FACILITIES

Our multi speciality hospital caters to a large number of the needy, as inpatients and out patients, providing specialized care in all the departments.

Nursing students are really privileged to have clinical exposure in their own parent multi speciality hospital with 750 bed strength and other affiliated super speciality hospitals. The average daily out patient attendance is over 1500 and 500 in patients at present, and this guarantees adequate clinical materials with modern laboratories for the students to be exposed to a broad spectrum of diseases and their management. Free treatment is being given to be public

COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

We have our own established Urban and Rural Health Centers located in Ariyankuppam and Seliamedu respectively covering 13,000 populations. In addition to the above two centers the Govt., of Puducherry has allotted two more primary health centers for us namely Nettapakkam and Kirumampakkam. These 4 primary health centers have been taken up and being utilized by our college for field training field training activities such as home visits, nutrition demonstration, health education and school health services.

FACULTY

The best of the most experienced senior faculty in the grade of professors and Asst. Professors in Nursing with M.Sc (N) qualification and clinical instructors who are really helping them to practice the theoretical knowledge in the clinical settings. More emphasis will be made on bedside training rather than theoretical classes. Apart from this, Professors and Asst Professors from clinical and Para clinical departments are handling classes for BSc (N) students

TRANSPORT FACILITIES

Our Institute has its own buses for safe transport for out reach services and observational visits for student. Students will be taken every week for shopping.

VACATION

5 weeks vacation shall be given in May / Dec each year.

UNIFORM

Students are expected to be in full uniform when they are in clinical postings except on Saturdays. They will be given identity card and they will be penalized if they are not using it in the campus. Cell phone is not allowed.  

HOSTEL FACILITES

A separate well furnished hostel for boys and girls are available in the hospital campus which is more spacious, well ventilated and even air conditioned. Students are given ozonised, purified water, hygienically prepared and high quality vegetarian and non vegetarian food.
