INTRODUCTION

The Nursing Profession is the Noblest of all profession and in great demand all over the world,offering a highly rewarding career. Established in the year of 2003, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University's KASTURBA GANDHI NURSING COLLEGE aims to prepare dedicated and expert nurses to contribute to the development of emerging health care systems in public and private health care organizations as well as community services.

Our Bachelor of Nursing degree course provides high achieving undergraduate students the opportunity to extend themselves intellectually and clinically, thereby rendering quality care to the general public through our hospital and community services.

This significantly well infrastructured institution is imparting high quality professional education to young and aspiring candidates who have dedicated themselves to be efficient nurses and also to meet the acute shortage of qualified and skilled nursing manpower, our country is currently facing. Special impetus will be given in our KGNC to train students capable of giving comprehensive nursing care, such as promoting preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to the needy.

KGNC is situated in the parental MGMC & RI complex (University campus of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth), enjoying the greatest advantage of co existing parent institution which attracts the highest rate of clinical material in Puducherry and surroundings with its ultramodern infrastructure facilities on the Pondy -Cuddalore main road at Pillaiyarkuppam, 12 Kms away from the Puducherry.

KGNC is situated in the unitary building with well established infrastructure facilities as per the Indian Nursing Council norms.

RECOGNITION / APPROVAL

KGNC is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi F.No. 18-885/2002-INC approved by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives council, Chennai Ref.No.143/NC/2006 and affiliated to Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University (Notification from MHRD is awaited)
